Beau is an AI character app made by ONYX Tech LLC ("we"). To talk with you, Beau needs to send what you say to AI services, and to remember you he keeps notes on our server. This page explains exactly what that means. The short version: no sign-up, no ads, no tracking, nothing sold, and you can delete everything in the app at any time.
Beau creates an anonymous account for your install the first time you open it. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or any login. The account is identified only by a random ID stored in your iPhone's Keychain.

Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and request times) for a limited period for security and reliability.
Speech is turned into text on your iPhone by Apple's on-device speech recognition. The audio itself never leaves your phone. Beau only listens while a conversation is on (after you tap the talk button); tap again, or leave the app, and he stops.
Anthropic and OpenAI process this data on our behalf under their API terms, which do not allow them to use it to train their models. They may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring, as their terms describe. We don't sell or share your data for advertising, and Beau has no ads, analytics or tracking SDKs.
Notes and your time together are kept until you delete them or your account. You can:
Deleting the app alone does not delete your server data, because the account isn't tied to anything we could find you by. Please use Delete my account and data first, or email us.
Beau is for people 18 and over and asks for your birthday before you start. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
Beau is an AI character, not a person. Nobody at ONYX Tech reads your conversations as they happen. If you are struggling or thinking about hurting yourself, please reach out to someone you trust, or in the US call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access or delete your data, and residents of places such as California have these rights by law. Most of it is available directly in the app. For anything else, email support@onyxtech.info. Because accounts are anonymous, we may ask you to include something only your account would know, such as one of Beau's notes about you.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. If what Beau sends to AI services changes, the app will ask for your agreement again.
